Another drive-thru Starbucks opened its doors on the 2nd September 2021 creating 20 new jobs and completed in record time by the Mersenne team.
“We were first introduced to this scheme in November 2020 on the basis that our team has a reputation for acting quickly and the site needed to be bought from Administrators before the end of the year.” said Richard Laing of Mersenne. “After agreeing formal heads of terms on 30th November, we managed to race through diligence and actually completed the site acquisition just 3 weeks later on 21st December 2020.”
Created out of a surplus car park on the periphery of the Merry Hill Shopping complex, Starbucks had been interested in this location for some time, attracted by the busy junction of Pedmore Road and Level Street which generates daily traffic numbers of c30,000 vehicles.
The coffee shop opened in September 2021 with the first 100 customers receiving gift bags and every 50th customer served on opening day receiving a hamper full of Starbucks goodies.
Snow White also made an appearance supported by a local theatre group!
